Aberdeen Society of Architects

The Aberdeen Society of Architects (ASA) are a chapter of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS). We represent around 500 members within the chapter area, which includes all of the city of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and a small portion of Moray. Our members include students, graduates and chartered architects, whom are all members of the RIAS.

The ASA’s main aim is to promote the interests of Architects and Architecture within this area. We do this in various ways including providing CPD events including local lectures, workshops, walking tours and visits to innovative and prominent new buildings.

The highlight of our calendar is our annual Design Awards, which are awarded during our annual dinner. The Design Awards seek to promote and celebrate the very best of our members work. In recent years the strength of the awards and the quality of the projects being entered has been seen to have steadily risen, which in turn benefits our members and enhances the local built environment.
