Aberdeen Association of Civil Engineers
The Aberdeen Association of Civil Engineers (AACE) was incorporated in 1900 and became an Associated Society of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1987. In this capacity the AACE represents the interests of the Institution in the North East of Scotland to promote and encourage the acquisition of knowledge in matters connected with the profession and to disseminate and apply this knowledge for the benefit of the community.
The AACE holds regular meetings in Aberdeen at which professional papers are presented and discussed, arranges lectures relating to all aspects of civil engineering and organises visits to works of an engineering interest. In addition the Association works closely with local schools and science fairs to deliver activities promoting all aspects of Civil Engineering.
